Design proposition
As smartphones have become so powerful, they allow users to be productive anywhere. Yet, when it comes down to comfort and efficiency, the form factor is a limitation of these devices. Despite their amazing computing power, when more complex or demanding tasks are required, users still rely on more robust and comfortable interfaces such as laptops or tablets.
Wouldn’t be great to be able to enable people to use their smartphone as a laptop?

Sigma of Galaxy
Inspired by the Samsung ground-breaking technology of foldable displays, SigmaΣ delivers an alternative laptop-like experience that fits in every pocket.
When folded and stored in its charging and protective case, the device does not require much more space than the space needed to carry a big wallet or a smartphone. Through its compact and light form factor, Sigma optimizes the smartphones’ capabilities, unleashing their potential of keeping people connected and productive no matter where they go.
SigmaΣ implements magnetic flaps to support its foldable parts in place. A metallic flap on the back of the screen secures the flexible display when unfolded. A flexible flap placed on the backside of the keyboard holds the entire screen in an inclined position.
Portability optimized
SigmaCase protects the device when folded and charges its batteries through a magnetic charging connector.
The sleek and minimalistic design of the case does not substantially increase the size of the product, allowing users to carry it in small bags, pockets or by hand.
Seamless and fluent interaction
Sigma automatically pairs with the Galaxy smartphone. When paired, the content of the smartphone is wirelessly streamed to SigmaΣ and adapted to Samsung DeX UI.
